Clinical hypnotherapy is a form of Neuro psychotherapy, which has its roots in existing evidence-based therapies. Clinical hypnotherapy uses the brain's own ability to heal and process by using "hypnotic trance".  Basically means bypassing the conscious mind to go to the source of all our beliefs and behaviours, the subconscious mind. Clinical hypnotherapy is safe, and evidence-based and is nothing like what is exaggerated in movies or stage shows.

There are many different approaches to counselling. As a counsellor, I integrate a variety of approaches, depending on each client and their needs. I am trained in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, which is essentially a teachable form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This is the main theory that I use with clients because I have found it to be the most effective as clients actually learn the theory themselves and can apply it outside of the session.

What is most important is that you feel comfortable, accepted, and emotionally safe with any counsellor you choose. If you have further questions about my approach, feel free to ask.
